GBENN relies upon volunteers to develop and work on its initiates.  The major initiatives for 2020 are strategic planning, funding growth, membership development and organization of the Longmont, CO GBENN Summit.  The Leadership Group provides feedback on all initiatives and GBENN’s structure.  More volunteers are desired for growing GBENN’s work.

Summit Committee

The Summit Committee plans the annual GBENN summit including selecting and securing the venue, determining location, timing and pricing, releasing a call for presentations for the summit, and managing the outreach for the summit.

The Strategic Advisory Committee researches and proposes strategic initiatives for the organization.  This group is currently designing GBENN’s website and initiating an early structure for the organization.

The membership committee determines membership criteria, manages membership benefits and programs.  

Planned Officers and Committee Chairs

Officers and Committee heads will be elected annually by the general membership.  The positions are open to the GBENN membership and interested persons can be elected or elect themselves to run according the GBENN by-laws. Elections will occur after the 2020 GBENN Summit.

Officers:

  • President  (Calls the Quarterly Board Meetings and runs the Board Meetings.  Oversees committee work)
  • Vice President (Facilitates strategic planning for GBENN and annual elections)
  • Treasurer (Prepares financials and reports on the financial situation for GBENN)
  • Secretary (Takes minutes, sends out meeting agendas)

Committee Heads:

  • Membership and Outreach Committee (Determines membership criteria, manages membership benefits and programs; Oversees all outreach for GBENN including messaging and branding, press and media relations, and social media)
  • Summit (Plans the annual summit including program, venue, outreach and pricing)
